Matt. 19. 24
“I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
This is one scripture you will never hear preached in any church these days. Reason being that the preacherman is himself stupendously rich beyond imagination. He flies a private jet and buys everything tax free
We all know the size of a camel viz the eye of a needle. An extremely narrow if not impassable parth indeed.
The Holy Book said in 2 Timothy 3: 16;17 that
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”
“That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all works.”
The word of God is for edification. Obscene wealth in the midst of a hungry and starving congregation who are made to cough out the little they have out of their poverty to fund vacous appetitite of their church leaders cannot be edifying to the soul.
The words of the Lord in Matt 21:13 comes to mind
May God be gracious and merciful unto us all.
